She began her teaching career in 1985 on Long Island, New York where she grew up. Before teaching 3rd and 4th grade and leading professional learning in Boyertown, PA, Catherine taught literacy and ESL in Boone, Iowa. She is honored to work closely with Dr. Lynne Dorfman and considers her a true mentor. Catherine is also pleased to be one of the teachers featured in the forthcoming book Welcome to Writing Workshop by Lynne Dorfman and Stacey Shubitz. Catherine has four grown children and resides in Macungie, Pennsylvania with her husband Steve who shares her love of nature, music, and great stories.
